Wants And Needs
Do you have a desire to be something, do something or have something in your life that isn’t there at the moment? Have you always pined for these things but never done anything about it? Tried to do something about it but failed? Have you always wanted to travel somewhere? To feel happier? To set up your own business? Maybe you want to find that perfect relationship? Perhaps it’s making more money you’re interested in or creating more balance in your life? Or is it just a nagging restlessness inside which you can’t fathom out?

Life Coaching
Coaching is a dynamic collaboration between two people - coach and coachee. Imagine a relationship where the entire focus is on you - what you want in your life and how you can get it. It is a participative partnership designed to develop an individual to their full potential. It is a one-to-one relationship that focuses on personal development and problem-solving which enables you to achieve your goals, and as the saying goes, “A goal is a dream with a deadline.”

Your Personal Life Coach
In its simplest form, a life coach acts as a catalyst to help people do, be and have what they want in life. We value honesty, integrity, open communication, confidentiality, professionalism and trust. When we work with our clients, they experience all of these values. Without them, there would be no results - and results, as well as learning, is what coaching is all about: the sense of well-being, great relationships, balance between work and play. Whatever it is you’re aiming to achieve.

Investing as little as 1 hour a month of your time on your own personal development and achievement can have a dramatic effect on the quality of your life. Whether it’s more time, renewed energy, healthy finances, greater confidence, better relationships or a balanced, fulfilling life that you want - life coaching is a tried and tested way of enjoying any or all of these benefits. And the achievement of such goals can be incredible - days and weeks as opposed to years, or never. The only obstacle to acquiring them is you.

How Is Life Coaching Delivered?
Coaching is conducted, as mentioned, in a one-to-one forum, typically over the phone. This said, face-to-face coaching is also an option. A client will pre-book his/her coaching sessions in advance and at an appointed time will call/meet with their coach for a designated time period, eg: 45 minutes. This is on a regular basis, a typical schedule being once every two weeks. During this time the coach and coachee will be involved in a confidential and personalised session which seeks to determine the client’s goal, discuss current realities, assess options to move forward and then conclude with a specific set of actions that will move the client towards their goal. This is simplifying the process tremendously, but it is the essence of a classic coaching session.

What Coaching Is Not
Many people can become confused as to what coaching really is. It is actually a non-judgmental, non-prescriptive and non-directive form of coaching which enables clients to determine their own goals, find their own solutions and take their own actions. Life Coaches never tell clients how to do anything, unless a client asks for their assistance in the form of suggestions. The consequence is that coachees take full responsibility for their actions and enjoy total ownership of the results - results that are often astounding, both to coaches and coachees alike.
So to clarify, coaching is none of the following:

-counselling
-therapy
-mentoring
-teaching
-training
-directing
-judging

Essentially, coaching is about the present, with a view to helping clients to reach their targets that are set in the future. It only works with willing individuals who have the desire to change or to get up and take the necessary action to achieve what they want to achieve. If a client isn’t willing, then a coach will not offer to assist them.
